KZKO would like to share the Denver Junkies Car Club presents Rockabilly Lockdown 4 on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 from noon to 5pm at 9150 W Cross Dr in Littleton, Colorado.
Live music will be performed by Dixie Leadfoot and the Chrome Struts. Also performing will be Austin Young & No Difference.
Registration fee will be $15.00.
Proceeds of the event will go to the Terry family.
Sean Terry served with the Marines from 2001 through 2005 and fought in the Fallujah area in 2005. He was exposed to the burn pits while he was serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. BURN PITS have types of waste products including, but are not limited to: chemicals, paint, medical and human waste, metal / aluminum cans, and so much more.
Hundreds of veterans coming back from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are falling ill and many are dying of what's being called the new "Agent Orange": open air burn pits.
Sean's diagnosis came quickly after months of complaining about serve bouts with what he thought was acid reflux. September 13, 2014 was the date a VA doctor found cancer in Sean's esophagus. She said, at the time, they thought they could beat it.
In January 2014, tumors appeared next to his brain. Shortly after that, doctors used the word "terminal".
Sean Terry passed away on April 19, 2014 from his seven month battle of esophageal cancer. He is survived by his wife Robyn and three daughters.
If you have a couple of hours of time on Saturday, come check out this great community event.
